BOX 13 ArtSpace is pleased to present four exhibitions opening January 15, 2022, 1 – 5 PM.
In the Front BOX is Emma Blader solo exhibition, Good Evening, Morning Star, is a product of welcoming the darkness, knowing that light will glisten towards the dawn of a new day. This collection of fiber paintings and sculptural paintings unearth gems found within hardship. In the Back BOX is our member’s show and this is a wonderful opportunity to come out and meet all our amazing artist. Learn about the wide array of creative practices the Box supports. Showing in our Window BOX is artist Margaret Craig and their exhibition Monsters in the Window. Here Margaret presents an alternate world of evolutions that they created from repurposed plastic and other mixed media. The glass window will become an aquarium for the creatures. Finally in our Upstairs BOX Cuyler Ballenger will show their film entitled Heavy Metal which documents the unique and process and culture sounding a metal processing factory in southern Spain.
The exhibitions continue through February 26, 2022. An Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, 1 – 5 PM at BOX 13 ArtSpace, 6700 Harrisburg, Houston, TX 77011.
